If you have been accused of a crime it is important to remember that the allegations against you must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Before you can be convicted, the government must not only meet its burden, it must also show that it has not violated your rights. There are over 4,000 Lawyers in Western New York, but only a small percentage of them are qualified criminal defense attorneys. The government has seemingly endless resources to make the case against you, one way or another.

If you are a criminal defendant, you may have little or no control over the case against you. The one thing you can control is your choice of attorneys.

Unless you hire an attorney that concentrates in criminal law, you are putting yourself at a significant disadvantage.

As a prosecutor, I saw too many criminal defendants bring the wrong weapon to the fight. I saw too many people rely on the advice of attorneys that had little or no experience in the criminal justice system and suffer the consequences. Sometimes even the best attorneys cannot win your case, but that does not mean you should settle for less.

You deserve the best possible representation, because if the criminal justice system fails you, it fails everyone.
